Efficient Error Management in the manufacturing industry with BizTalk

The value of the market of production and sale of alcoholic drinks is estimated at over 50 billion PLN. The key success factor in this industry is the ability of companies to quickly adapt to new trends and changes in legal regulations while facing constantly growing competition. Companies are increasingly willing to introduce innovations. However, it is necessary to remember about efficient and effective management and ongoing control of the implementation processes of new technologies.

Integration platform

For a couple of years, we have been cooperating with one of the world’s leading producers of alcoholic beverages. This company has focused its attention on system development and optimization of document and information flow.

As part of our cooperation, we are supporting and developing an integration platform based on BizTalk – BRIDGE (BizTalk Realtime Integration Data Global Exchange), which enables the exchange of documents between branches of the company and its trading partners around the world. We have also developed a system for error notifications and streamlining the reprocessing of failed data flows.

As time passed and the number of generated messages increased, the solution no longer served its purpose and became ineffective. We faced another challenge related to error management on the BRIDGE platform. Our goal was to provide visibility of all flows running through the system, provide more information about errors, and enable the generation and management of notifications by users themselves.

ITrack – error tracking and handling

We designed a brand new tool that provides a central point of integration tracking and error handling for standard users. ITrack provides valuable, detailed information about running flows to integration teams who can use it to validate flows and debug them.

Better error tracking – better data flow

ITrack has enabled faster troubleshooting and provided the company with new statistics about errors, correct data flows and messages. Its implementation reduced the time required to resolve an error by more than 50%.

The innovation contributed to better work organization and provided access to actual statistics for the BRIDGE platform, increasing its efficiency.
