Information technology as a way to create equal social opportunities
18 March 2021
There is a large number of people with disabilities living in the world, as is the number of those who suffer social exclusion because of their disability. The development of innovative technological ideas is of great importance for their social integration.
Computerization of the process of submitting statements and notices
One of our clients is an institution that helps disabled people on a daily basis, by making their active participation in professional and social life easier. Its representatives understand that appropriately used IT solutions are a great help in the process of fighting inequality and removing barriers that stand in the way of people with disabilities. That is why, as part of cooperation with us, the client decided to implement a system for electronic submission of statements and notifications required from employers.
This software is both for employers who employ more than 6% disabled people in their organization and are exempt from the obligation to pay social security contributions, and for those who do not meet the established standards and are therefore obliged to pay these contributions.
Technological support for employers and civil servants
The software developed by us supports the completion of such processes as:
- employer/user registration,
- submission of necessary documents and declarations by the employer,
- updating user data and the status of documents submitted by the user,
- entering a paper declaration into the system,
- making corrections to declarations submitted, both by the employer and by the clerk,
- updating records of all entities using the platform,
- downloading reports on submitted declarations and payments made
- sending declarations and documents to other internal systems used by the institution,
- streamlining the document management process.
The whole system was built in a multilayer architecture using PHP, Symfony, OpenSource components, Joomla CMS, Apache server and PostgreSQL database. It can be accessed from a web browser, and the news portal based on a CMS provides users with additional information about the way it works.
All our work was carried out on time and with due diligence. All personal data is processed in the system in compliance with all safety standards and RODO procedures. The software is currently used by over 150,000 users in over 130,000 geographically dispersed units.
