
Intranet and mobile app for the energy industry. How are technologies changing communication?

The energy industry, due to its status as a strategic sector of the economy, is highly dependent on new technologies. Its privatization forced companies to undergo computerization and prompting them to go through a full digital transformation. Skillful orchestration of business processes and investment in new technologies are now becoming key to effective operations and building of competitive advantage. What solutions does the industry rely on? Today, a few words about an intranet and a mobile application that we have implemented for one of our clients in this sector.
Improving customer service
Customer loyalty and satisfaction are priceless, especially in highly competitive industries such as energy. To maintain them, it is essential to have good relationships with customers. They can be built by regular contact and providing professional service through the channels the customer prefers.
We helped our clients from the energy industry to respond to the needs and expectations of their target group by creating a modern mobile application for Android and iOS platforms.
The main goal of this tool was to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, reduce customer service costs, and increase sales conversions for new services. Additionally, it also enabled:

- finding nearest customer service points.
Increase in the effectiveness of internal communication
Implementing a corporate intranet was another project completed for this client. It is very difficult to maintain direct contact with a large number of employees. Lack of contact with staff means, in turn, lack of knowledge about their needs and expectations and, consequently, no ability to respond to them. The intranet implemented by us helped to address these challenges, improve internal communication, and keep employees informed about the most crucial topics, avoiding information chaos.
As result, nowadays the customer can easily communicate with all their staff across many different companies. This SharePoint 2013-based solution is distinguished by:
