SAP system implementation in the arms industry

The arms industry should be the driving force of the economy and that is why it must choose the newest technologies. According to Witold Slowik, the former President of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (Polish Arms Group), the industry, unfortunately, lacks sufficient capital for necessary investments that would enable it to catch up with the latest technologies.
Regular new inventions keep the armies of knowledge-based economies among the most powerful. What is more, the armaments industry creates a lot of jobs, and some technologies, emerging at the intersection of military and civilian spheres, are the so-called “dual-use” technologies. Therefore, it is crucial to keep modernizing the Polish armaments industry, aiming at increasing the use of the latest equipment, machines, technologies, electronics, and information technology.
One of the biggest challenges, and at the same time goals, of the Polish arms industry is to improve cybersecurity and to build high-quality products together with qualified Polish IT specialists, who are also appreciated on foreign markets.
One of the biggest trends in this area is the active informatization of the armed forces.
